Only in San Francisco….

Intactivism is a movement based in Wacky Town that is out to make circumcision for males under 18 illegal.  They claim among other things that the procedure reduces sexual satisfaction.

Well, that explains that.

Street Signs

Monday, September 27th, 2010

I have just returned from a 15 hour car trip to Michigan where I was intrigued by an official road-side sign just North of Grayling on Route 75.

It read:  Prison area  Do not pick up hitchikers

Now, I’m thinking that if I’m the warden of that prison, I’m not sure I want people to know that I’ve got that kind of problem.

The Real Honest Housewife of New Jersey

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

I’ve never watched “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”, but read that one of the more notorious wives (is that redundant?) has left the show in a snit.  Danielle Staub, in a written statement of her treatment by the other wives claimed that, “They didn’t talk about anything but me.  I don’t talk about them…I talk about me too!”

If there is a Emmy for up-front naked  honesty, I nominate Mrs. Staub.  Now if she would only fade away, but the reality is she is probalby headed for another  show.  Too bad that Andy so underestimated the time frame alloted to the Staub’s et. al.  .

Immaculate Conception?

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have announced that they are engaged to be married.  In announcing their engagement, the 19-year-old Bristol stated that even though they are formally engaged they will not live together and will practice abstinence from sexual relations until they are actually wed.

Bristol and Levi’s 19-month-old son, Tripp, is scheduled to be a guest on Larry King’s show to explain  his mother’s interpretation of abstinence.

Stimulus Proposal for BP Shareholders

Friday, June 4th, 2010

President Obama this morning angerly warned BP that it better not pay out millions of dollars in stock dividends to the shareholders while it was “nickel and diming” the residents and business interests in the Gulf area.

When it was pointed out to the President that  millions of people including retirees and pension funds depend on the dividend income to help pay for living expenses he immediately assailed BP for considering a dividend cut . ”My daughter interrupted a cabinet meeting this afternoon,” the President explained, “and asked, ‘Daddy have you paid the dividend been paid yet’?'”   He promised her he would not let BP ”nickel and dime”  the American shareholder as he outlined a six-billion dollar stimulus plan for all BP shareholders.
